ISLAMABAD: Seven new police officers have been posted in the capital to fill various vacant slots while two officers have been posted out of the Islamabad Police after the move was cleared by the apex election body.

Moreover, the Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Mushtaq Ahmed has also been replaced, with Muhammed Hamza Shafqaat appointed in his stead.

Capt Ahmed had served as the capital’s deputy commissioner for over three years and has now been transferred to the National Highway Authority (NHA).
